OUR MISSION
More Than.
"You are more than what happened to you."
Full stop.
WHY WE EXIST
More Than is a survivor-led community founded by Chynna Ratner after she came forward as an officer-involved domestic violence survivor in 2022.
After sharing her story, the response was overwhelming — hundreds of survivors reaching out, asking for help, sharing their own pain. That's when Chynna knew: there was a gap, and she was going to fill it.
More Than exists to remind every survivor — regardless of gender, orientation, or background — that their abuse does not define them.
You are more than your past.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Our
Values.
01.
02.
Radical Inclusion
More Than is for every survivor — regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, or background. No one is turned away.
Survivor-Led
This community was built by a survivor, for survivors. Every decision is made with lived experience at the table.
03.
Joy is Possible
Healing isn't just survival. We believe survivors deserve full, joyful, passionate lives — and we build toward that.
COMMUNITY IN ACTION
The First
Event
On October 26, More Than held its inaugural community event at Common Dialect Beerworks in Tampa. The evening featured a silent auction, supply drive, local vendors, and a donation-based workout class.
Admission was free. Every dollar donated went directly to Sunrise of Pasco County, a nonprofit serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence. And a total of $5,000 was raised to help survivors.
